تو یہ ہیں ہمارے شہر کے کچھ "نشئی" حضرات جو مئیر ہاوس کے بلکل سامنے بیٹھ کر ٹیکے لگا رہے ہیں۔ یہ لوگ دن بھر کوڑے دانوں اور خالی پلاٹوں سے گتے، پلاسٹک اور دھات کی چیزیں اکٹھی کرتے ہیں، کبھی کبھی کہیں چھوٹی موٹی چوری بھی کرلیتے ہیں اور پھر رات کو اس محنت کی کمائی سے لیا ہوا نشہ ایک ہی ٹیکے کے ذریعے دس بارہ لوگ اپنے خون میں گھول لیتے ہیں۔ ایسے لوگ مختلف شہروں کے پارکس، فٹ پاتھ اور پل کے نیچے مل جائیں گے۔

لیکن اس ڈوپامین کو بھی تو ضرورت کے وقت ہی خارج ہوکر اپنا کام کرنا چاہیے، ایسا تو نہیں ہونا چاہیے کہ ہر وقت ہی ڈوپامین خارج ہوتا رہے۔ اس لیے کچھ خاص نیورونز ہوتے ہیں جو اس ڈوپامین کے خروج کو روکے رکھتے ہیں۔

When we do something pleasurable, such as eating a tasty meal, having sex, winning something, or otherwise experiencing pleasure, certain neurons in our brain release dopamine, which is a special chemical in the brain. Affects the parts and gives us happiness and pleasure.

But this dopamine should also be released when needed and do its job, it should not be that dopamine is released all the time. So there are certain neurons that block the release of this dopamine.

Now recall that above we discussed that opiates have the ability to inhibit the activity of neurons by binding to specific receptors, so opiates do the same thing by binding to these dopamine inhibitory neurons. , that is, opiates block the same neurons that are supposed to block the release of dopamine.

But over time, taking these opiates decreases the sensitivity and number of receptors in the neurons that the opiates bind to, so the amount of opiates must be increased to reach that peak of pleasure.

But in addition to affecting the dopamine system, they also severely affect the rest of the body's systems, which include blood and heart, hormonal system, immune system, respiratory system, etc. May cause death.

The effect of these opiates is not limited to this system, but it blocks the release of some other chemicals and hormones in the brain, which affects and slows down many important body functions such as breathing, heart rate, etc. The pulse, the digestive system as well as the human senses and consciousness.
