پلیٹلیٹس (Platelets)
بیالوجی پڑھنے والے طلبا میں پلیٹلیٹس (platelets) کے حوالے سے ایک غلط فہمی یہ ہے کہ بہت سے طلبا پلیٹلیٹس کو "سیل" یعنی خلیے سمجھتے ہیں۔
حالانکہ ایسا نہیں ہے، پلیٹلیٹس خلیے نہیں ہوتے، اور نہ ہی خلیے کی ڈیفینیشن پر پورا اترتے ہیں۔
بون میرو میں megakaryocytes نام کے خلیے ہوتے ہیں جنہیں platelets precursors cells بھی کہا جاتا ہے، پلیٹلیٹس ایک طرح سے ان کے ٹوٹنے سے بنتے ہیں، یعنی پلیٹلیٹس کو اس سیل کے ٹکرے (fragments) کہا جا سکتا ہے، لیکن خود سے پلیٹلیٹس کوئی سیل نہیں ہوتے۔۔
Platelets
A common misconception among biology students about platelets is that many students think of platelets as "cells."
Although this is not the case, platelets are not cells, nor do they meet the definition of a cell.
In the bone marrow, there are cells called megakaryocytes, which are also called platelet precursors cells. They don't happen.
